Venue Hire at Ground Up Cookery School

Are you looking for a unique and fully equipped space for your event in Chudleigh, Devon? Ground Up Cookery School offers an exceptional venue for workshops, corporate team-building, private dining, filming, meetings and more. Our cookery school is designed to cater for a wide range of events with high-quality facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.

Our Facilities

  • A beautifully designed, fully equipped cookery school

    • 8 reconfigurable workstations

    • 8 x countersunk AEG 4-ring hobs

    • 6 Nef ovens

    • Demo station including 5-ring, bridged induction hob

    • Cookery equipment for 16 participants working in pairs or 8 individuals

  • A commercial wash-up room

  • A refreshment/reception area

  • A flexible 16-seater table (made up of two tables, accommodating two groups of 10). Additional tables and seating are available if workstations are not required.

  • 2 toilets, including a disabled-access toilet

  • A grass car park with 17 spaces

  • Social media/newsletter promotion to our 6,000 interested followers

Coming Soon - Outdoor Space

Plans are in place to develop a large outdoor kitchen courtyard seating and additional cooking facilities. In the short term, we can offer:

  • A mid-size firepit

  • A pizza oven

  • A ProQ BBQ/Smoker

Pricing

Individual requirements can be tailored to your needs and priced accordingly. To gain an indication of prices the following package are available:

1. Meeting Space / Workshop Area

  • Includes use of the table(s), tea/coffee, reception area, toilets, and car park

  • Washing up and cleaning before and after included

  • £100 per hour

2. Independent Use of Cookery School Facilities

  • Full access to the cookery school

  • Excludes refreshments, washing up, and cleaning after the event

  • Cleaning/washing up products and facilities provided

  • £450 per day plus £125 refundable deposit (subject to inspection)

3. Full Use of Cookery School Facilities

  • Full access to the cookery school

  • Includes washing up and cleaning after the event

  • Excludes refreshments and ingredients

  • £575 per day

Promotion and Booking

We are very happy to share events through our social media and newsletter, provided they do not directly compete with our own courses. We can sell tickets online on your behalf, however, this will incur transaction fees.

  • All prices are exclusive of VAT

  • A 50% deposit is required upon booking to secure your date

  • Cancellations or date changes must be made at least 6 weeks in advance to avoid forfeiting the deposit
